Juve Leading the Skin and Beauty Industry with the Sustainable Salons Revolution

Sustainable Salons has been working in Australia in the hairdressing, beauty, and pet grooming industries to divert 95% of waste from landfills and send it to recycling. Chemicals are kept out of the waterways and plastic out of the ocean. Plastics are being cleaned and upcycled into new products such as outdoor furniture, underground sheeting and glasses frames. Clients will be able to bring back their empty product containers and receive rewards.
Additionally, once Juve's tools reach their end of life, they will be broken down, and all valuable parts will be repurposed. Also, 50% of the employees sorting the materials are differently-abled, creating meaningful jobs, therefore, quality of life with a purpose for Kiwis with disabilities. Ultimately all the proceeds sold to recyclers for new products generate funds for KiwiHarvest. KiwiHarvest rescues approximately 180,000 kg of good quality surplus food every month and redistributes this food to people struggling across New Zealand.
