Masks – Hottest Beauty Trend for Glowing Skin

Juve-blog-09.jpg

Our fascination for facial masks has been reinvigorated with the likes of Victoria Beckham, Salma Hayek, Kendall Jenner and the list goes on….

Masks can be as simple or sophisticated as we want them to be. The skin can be detoxified, stimulated, exfoliated, hydrated, refined and puffiness in tissue reduced depending on the ingredients chosen.

Kaolin clay exfoliates and absorbs excess oil for a fresh glow. AHA and BHA are acids that dissolve the glue like substance that binds the top skin layers of skin for a revitalised appearance, with the added benefit of increasing the penetration of the next products applied. Hyaluronic Acid attracts and holds vast amounts of water hydrating even the most thirsty skins.

For the girls who don’t mind a bit of a mess, honey is hydrating and antibacterial, avocado is rich in vitamins and oils, oats are soothing and yogurt is mildly exfoliating due to the lactic acid content.

Masks come in clays, sheets, tissues, foils and creams depending on the result you are wanting to achieve. Masks are not only for the face and can be used on hands, neck, chest, backs and Madonna even lathers her backside before a  more “revealing” show.

Make time for yourself and get on board the happy masking movement.
